1. That when they married, he was estranged from the family & had No money or claim to Gucci.
2. When he was murdered they were already Divorced, so she would gain Nothing from it...
I think she loved him once upon a time, but she felt used and thrown away. And then when he said he wanted the divorce to be with Paola, she saw red. As they say, "hate is so close to love". I think her actions came from hatred that came after their love ended. She decided 'If I can't have you, then No One will', and then the rest happened. It's very sad for their daughters though.

It's sad but I think she was raised that way and didn't have a father to teach her the importance of hard work and had a mother who was very opportunistic too. Maurizio was weak and she picked up on it and so did franchi. I don't think Maurizio got his say when it came to the women in his life. But can't blame him for the divorce when his family hated her so much.

She had surgery for a large brain tumour in the years after he left her. That may not excuse her calling a hit on him but the tumour may have affected her thinking over the years and made her less rational. Whatever about abandoning his wife, Maurizio Gucci also abandoned his daughters. The daughters come off worst in the whole scenario. I would judge their mother more harshly had she not suffered from a brain tumour.
