That still doesn’t explain the new jobs popping up though. If it’s the end of corporate stimulus then there should be less jobs. I guess we can’t believe anything the news reports.

“The Biden administration vastly overstated its estimate that employers created more than 1 million jobs in the second quarter of this year, claiming historic job growth when in fact hiring had stalled, according to a new estimate.

Job growth was “essentially flat” in the second quarter with only 10, 500 jobs added, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia said.”

Tech jobs are overhyped and overfocused by the tech-heavy news journalists. that explains it.

Peloton Layoffs - 7/13/23
As many of you already know, we have also appointed a new leader for the function. Dawn Spring, based in our Plano, Texas joined Peloton in June, as Senior Vice President of Global Member Support. Dawn, who is reporting directly to me, is an experienced global leader in customer service and support, bringing more than 25 years of experience to our team and Members. She will focus on further enhancing the support function and our structure to improve both our Member and team member experience.
As we have advanced Peloton’s business and our supply chain operations, we have continued to look for additional efficiencies in our Middle Mile operation. In that regard, we have decided to close our Houston, Texas distribution center as well as consolidate the Perris, CA and Hesperia, CA operations into our current Hesperia, CA warehouse.
These critically important business decisions have personal impacts on our team members that the Lead Team and I do not take lightly. There will be a reduction in our Member Support workforce, including the proposed closure of our Cork, Ireland operation. With our distribution center closure and consolidation, team members across those locations will also be impacted.
It is always hard to lose colleagues, but please know there was careful consideration given to these changes. I want to deeply thank those impacted team members for their contributions to Peloton.
