Such an underrated Doctor. It's a pity so much of his run is missing

Me: Ah I see you’ve re-decorated...

Patrick Troughton was just as important to Doctor Who's success as Hartnell was, if he hadn't nailed this role following in Hartnell's footsteps the show would've ended before 1970.

Victoria: You probably can't remember your family.
The Doctor: Oh yes, I can when I want to. And that's the point, really. I have to really want to, to bring them back in front of my eyes. The rest of the time they... they sleep in my mind and I forget. And so will you. Oh yes, you will. You'll find there's so much else to think about. To remember. Our lives are different to anybody else's. That's the exciting thing! There's nobody in the universe can do what we're doing.

I wish them the best in finding more episodes.

I love the colors on this!!! It makes so much sense that the color version of the Troughton opening would use the same sequence of colors as Pertwee's first opening :)

Well this just goes to prove the old saying, the classics never go out of style.

Very reminiscent of the Third Doctor titles. And the Doctor's face is just about perfect for a cartoon. It looks almost like the real thing. FANTASTIC!

Honestly I'm just happy we seem to have moved past the days (for now) where the comments section on any doctor who-related thing is full of angry strangers trashing my favourite show x

brilliiant. And i am loving the animated restoration. I could happily watch each and every lost story in a reanimated format. It allows the original voices to come alive

I hope they one day find the original footage to this lost episode!

I met Patrick Troughton at a US WhoCon back in the day. Sweet man. I also hadn't put 2&2 together that he had a short but significant role as Father Brennan in the original "Omen". A Catholic Clergyman who'd joined Satan's Army briefly & then tried to stop Antichrist. Even then, I knew him only as a comedic actor & it was such a treat to realize how much depth of acting technique he really had.
The Beeb wasn't the only network to not realize what gold they had on their Beta/kinescope tapes. The animated reconstruction of wiped shows is fine, but, man, I wish we had a Troughtonesque actor to do proper remakes. How lucky for Hartnell devotees when they found a near-clone in the brilliant David Bradley!

I love this! The colours look so retro and shows the old second doctor Sequence in a completely new light!

Brillant Doctor Who! Absolutely brilliant! Not only did you manage to bring back a classic in animation, but also in colour! Now we can actually see a black and white episode from the sixties but for the first time in colour!!!

Pat had such a iconic face that I think the animation team must've been worried about getting it close. I think it works, but the original is timeless. Nice vid. ☺

Animated Troughton face instead of the original live action one like in previous animated reconstructions? Oh my giddy aunt.

I like it a lot. Lots of callbacks to the first 3rd doctor intro
