At the beginning of the 1990's at Alonnisos island and a depth of 25 m one of the largest shipwrecks of ancient Greece was found.
The ship transported more than 4,000 amphorae.
 It is a unique attraction, selected by the Ministry of Culture to become a visiting underwater museum from 2019.
