People are going crazy because Linkin Park returned and they have a new singer! Emily Armstrong is the new frontwoman of the band. Feelings are mixed because everybody misses the legendary Chester Bennington, but at the same time, Emily has a voice that fits the band's sound so much. When she and Mike sing harmonies it blends so well. I think she has earned her spot in the band and I'm open to giving her a chance to prove herself, although my initial thought was that this wouldn't work, but the more I listen to her, I think it just might. Linkin Park is going on a tour, and has a new album coming out in November 2024 called From Zero and I'm sure we'll see a lot more interesting things from them in the following months.

Alright.. this whole 'They should've changed the name' thing needs to stop.
Chester was amazing yes. But he was also the LAST member to join the OG Linkin Park.
LP was started by Mike and Brad, it's Mike's band, he created the LP sound, Chester was the last person to join LP and even replaced their first vocalist. People act like Chester = Linkin Park and Brad, Mike, and Phoenix just don't exist. I understand that because he's who I think of when I think of LP, but these people need a reality check.

I hope they make songs that works with her voice. Her singing Chester’s parts just doesn’t quite make it, it sounds like it’s very strained and still doesn’t hit the notes that he did.

I now understand why Linkin Park has been so successful. Instead of trying to find a replacement for Chester, they sought someone different. I'm already loving it and can't wait to hear more of their new songs. There are clips of her singing the old songs, and they sound a bit underwhelming, but that's okay because those songs weren't designed with her voice in mind. However, the new song is incredible—just fire!

This more like a cover band. Maybe they should come up with new songs and maybe do some tribute songs.

Ofc no one can replace Chester, he was one of a kind, for all reasons. This is just a new era, something diferent. Its not about a replace. But i think there are some songs that are hard for Emily, not because she is a female, she has an amazing voice, but these songs are not a good fit for her. At the new one, i loved what she did, she was soo more confortable.

Just watched her performance, and I do got to say she did better than i thought. I wish they would have rebranded the band, and did LP covers here and there, but it is what it is. I think her singing is unhealthy though. Her voice cracked a lot during the performances. Maybe she went to hard, but I think she may need a coach to work on it. Otherwise i am curious to see how the new album will sound.

i disagree. i always loved linkin park but i always missed some pure and raw metal growl and she brings that, her growl is more pure! i love love love what she is brining to the table.

Well linkin park went downhill even before chester passed. So at least were not missing out on groundbreaking music or something if they had a better singer.
