Excel Business Functions - Functions everyone should know - Excel Essentials Training

Did you know that there are over 500 Functions in Excel? In this short video, part of my Excel Essentials Training Course, we look at the seven business functions I use all the time, and these functions should be used by every Excel user. Functions with one argument shown include SUM, AVERAGE, MAX MIN, and MEDIAN. Functions with two arguments shown include LARGE and SMALL. We will look at the difference between a formula, and a function.

I wish that I had had Youtube tutorials when I first started using Excel. Life would have been so much easier! No searching for hours through unhelpful 'help' screens or running to the library after work and making copious notes for half the night then spending hours checking and double checking the results were right with a pen, paper and calculator, just in case you had missed noting some important exception that might cause an error in calculation. I spent weeks worrying about my first "Goal Seeking" formula; the thought of it still brings out in hives!

I am an avid user of formulas in Excel, but I have to admit that I did not know about the "large" and the "small" functions. Thanks - another day of learning for me :-) !
