FILM DESCRIPTION:
In Steven Spielberg's massive blockbuster, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park's mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

I love how the raptor actually takes a moment to confront Muldoon before she kills him. She wanted him to know he'd been outsmarted and take a second for that to sink in before she finished the job

I've always rooted for this guy and everytime I watch it I wish he succeeds even though I know how it ends. Just shows how good the movie is that there is still tension even though I've seen it 30+ times.

One thing I love about this film is it’s use of foreshadowing
Earlier in the film, Dr. Grant tells that kid about how raptors attack. In this scene, everything he said is shown when the raptors ambush and kill Muldoon

I think the raptor that killed him greatly enjoyed it and not just for food: Robert was their captor and she no doubt knew his face well and was itching for a chance to outsmart and devour him…..

Every time she pops out of the bushes all I can imagine her saying is “You…….”. 😳

Some people claim that the “Big One” (raptor who leads the pack) is the one killing Muldoon. I respectfully disagree. To me she’s clearly the one watching him die. Muldoon described earlier how when she was looking at you, she’s working things out. The way the camera focuses on the eye like that tells me that’s exactly what the raptor offering itself up as bait is doing.

The subtle intensity of the guys face. The camera perfectly following all the movements of him as he sets himself up. And then the horrific payoff. The actor was phenomenal and so underrated. This is one of the best damn scenes in movie history as far as I'm concerned.

Was always super bummed with this guy's fate. Always thought he was pretty cool. "They should all be destroyed...." Was a tough guy, but seemed to have a genuine humility, respect, and even fear of these things...

What’s unsettling is the fact that she could’ve easily jumped him immediately before he even knew what had happened.

She intentionally waited just long enough for Muldoon to realize he was a dead man before attacking.
