Anbernic makes a decent handheld. I'm still waiting just a little bit longer to see if they come out with a 7" screen version with higher specs so it can play Atomiswave and Dreamcast games at top performance like a Pi 4. These emulation handhelds keep topping themselves often, so I think it's only a matter of time. Thank you for always showing us the latest models!

Awesome review. We can finally play die hard on the Saturn! Also when you drop tested it my was shocked. It seems quite sturdy. Prices are getting up there though.

Looks like a great little handheld. I own numerous Anbernic devices, so I know how great their quality is, and this one is on my watch list. The fact that it can't run AetherSX2 kind of hurts my decision to buy this right now though.

Does it come with all the retro games or do you have to get them seperately?

Should be noted this chip is not powerful enough to run a handful of N64, PSP games and a good portion of saturn games.
The RP2+ is $99 and has a more powerful chipset for those games- but has a smaller screen and it's buttons are kinda jank.

I think this device is overpriced for what it is, and if the RP2+ is not in your wheelhouse I would just wait for something else to come along, that will check all the boxes and be affordable, I think waiting is the better option. If you DO want to spend this amount of money, tbh I think the Odin or such are better choices.

Saw a user review that said you need a PhD to set this up, especially on the android side. No thanks. What system do you recommend that come with bigger screen than 3.5, lots of preloaded games and works right out of the box with no real effort?
