3D technology is no stranger to change and progress because, over time, 3d software went from only the ability to show wireframe models in the viewport to now the ability of real-time rendering, which is a huge jump. Let's check the next generation in today's video!

Embergen software is entirely written in Odin programming language.

Huge factors that separate average animator and great animator aside acting, are body mechanics and subtleties, now it can be done by AI, every animator is great animator = every animator is average animator.

You should address the hardware too...when I started, no machine was capable of doing things in real time, even tho we could make pretty impressive things...with the right amount of time and with a monster of a pc and a render farm (if you could afford to assembly one) now a days you can work in a decent lap top...it's not just about the software but yes they help specially having that there are specialty softwares even though most of the main 3d softwares can do almost everything...(modeling, sculpting, texturing and lightning, physical simulations rendering and even composting)

There's so many tools out there for 3D animation. I come to find it be very tedious, lots of tweaking, but the results are worth it!

Cascadeur: Starts at 99$ a year for indie license.
Whole suite of JangaFX: $400 for an indie license that includes one year of software updates (subsequent updates need 190 a year).
Plasticity: $150 for indie license plus one year of updates.
There's a free addon that adds CAD to Blender. It's newish, but it's growing. There are other addons for blender that also do visual effects for water and fire.

It's true that fhe future of 3d and cgi is real time rendering

Just to enlighten you;
JangaFX has 3 software:
1-GeoGen for creating terrain ( 1st software) ???
2-EmberGen for fire and smoke and magic effects (2nd software) 2020
3-LiquiGen for liquids ( The new baby in the family) 2024

I have plasticity, still learning it, but i'm liking it a lot. Nic is planning to add direct surface editing in the 2.0 release (basically editing surface curvature with control points, the same way splines and curves are edited). The blender live-link plugin (which is free) is also a bonus.

As for the fluid and fire simulation programs, i'll have to look into those.

Plasticity gets a thumbs up from me - got it not long ago and it's really useful for nearly every hard surface task.
So fast to iterate and change stuff.

Plasticity is fantastic! Anyone who does any sort of hard surface modelling will love it. I'd get a copy now because I wouldn't be surprised if it gets bought up by one of the big software companies later and they jack the price up.

Actually using all of them them for a while now. From a person who is working with 3D every day, I can say these softwares really will or already did change the process of creating.

Japanese are such geniuses in this sector and many things, SAI, Clip Studio Paint, Vroid Studio, Floorp Browser, and who would forget Live2D. And now Cascadeur. Many of my workflows revolve around them + Blender.

Now I'm just waiting for their version of Zbrush and Marvelous Designer and maybe After Effects/Da Vinci.. and especially their version of Unity or Unreal Engine.

plasticity was the best purchase so far, worth every penny, hard surface modeling is a BREEZE with it

all of this amazing software. I just wish everybody wouldn't use a 1990s local newscaster voice. it's so depressing because nobody can get out of the cycle. even the TTS voices do it. I wonder if that's how kids talk now. *shivers*

I learned drafting at a very early age, and eventually learned CAD in college and got quite good at it.

I suck at Blender and most polygon based modeling software and have dreamed of a CAD based modeling program!

This is a godsend to me! \(^_^)/

Plasticity is my preferred modelling tool. Octane Blender for rendering

Plasticity basically excels because the field of CAD software companies seems to be in an eternal competition to see who can inflict the shittiest user interface on its customers.

3:00 He's wrong, any advancement in AI will always replace jobs. Faster work equals less need for humans.

So… at first glance I really thought Plasticity was “Shaper3d”…. (iOS, Mac, pc). I’m intrigued to learn that this is directed more towards artists though…. As Shaper3d is essentially designed for engineering really.

The problem with people becoming animators lies with the human, not the software. In the past, if something was difficult, we rose to the occasion and learned to master the subject. Skilled animators do not need AI. As a beginner a prospective should be trying to learn, not seek short-cuts however it’s clear what that is really about.

Learning new things is not comfortable. In fact it requires us to exist outside of our comfort zones and think differently. Some of us love that challenge and others don’t but regardless of what your position is, the burden is required.

Too many people are looking for short-cuts instead of developing skills.
