This movie also had songs by Seal and U2. Elliot Goldenthal’s soundtrack is powerful. Some bits were similar to his magnificence OST for Alien 3. When I was a kid this movie was one of the best growing up in 90s. I think both Joel Schumacher takes were him being colourful and some how also nostalgic to the cartoon humour of the Adam West Batman series.

2:49 - I love the scene where Batman (Val Kilmer) ran through the fire facing Harvey Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and his goons. One of my all-time favorites.. he's like a phoenix rises from the ashes or a dark supernatural force of nature striking fears into the hearts of criminal element.

My hottest take: I think this is the second best film of the original 4. Returns is 1

I love Batman 89 & will always find it iconic but it never felt like a film if that makes sense. More a collection of scenes (which makes sense because 89 was filmed during a writers strike). Returns is a much better looking & made film with a story and theme. I don’t know if Forever is better looking since Burton & Joel’s styles are so different but I do find myself going back to Forever more than 89 as I get older

Batman & Robin is a 2 hour toy commercial with Hollywood actors but Batman Forever actually has quality scenes.

I recently watched all 4 movies for the first time ever and to be honest, I don't understand the hate Batman Forever and Batman and Robin get. Sure, they aren't perfect but both are enjoyable and have good bits and some great designs.
