The only thing that I don't like is the rear plugin as I literally use my laptop laying down. I am disabled and cannot sit in a chair for more than an hour. I always use a trackpad and prefer side power port because it won't get knocked by my knees which hold the laptop.

After months of research and viewing potential laptops and sending 2 back for full refund a few years ago i got one of these and it arrived yesterday. Its exactly what i was after to replace our old samsung R780 which is also 17in.
The weight is no issue as it is a desktop alternative to us. Build quality feels solid unlike most of the more plastic options which feei very cheap. It feels far better imo than all the dells, hp, lenovo etc we looked at. It feels and looks way more expensive. The keys have a lovely positive feel unlike the soft and flush type. Screen clarity watching 4k videos is superb.
I like the dragon emblem embosed in the lid, its a nice touch. Ours has i7 13700, rtx 4070 16gb, 1tb (no mouse) and was £1400. The upgradable ram is brilliant and a replaceable batttery too.
The ONLY issue i have is having to get to grips with windows 11 as we've been using windows 7 still up until yesterday lol. Oh and the click on the touch pad needs a more positive push than ive been used too but thats not an issue.

Overall very happy with my final choice.

Oh and the rear charge plug is excellent, far more sensible than a side plug.

112 FPS in RDR2 1080 ultra and 63 in 2k ultra are really very good!
I think MSI GP series are one of the finest laptops all around ❤
