This guide is missing a very important tip: Taunt in front of your carries so they can actually do dmg. Even better if you taunt someone your carry is already on and you know they are about to dash out or counter-engage.
Don't dash from 20m in front of carries and expect they can follow up as they try to walk up, your taunt ends and they get fucked. This is one of the top things I see bad Athenas do constantly. Even in casual arena, it's so obvious who just has no idea how to play guardian and fills with Athena because she is strong and easy to play.

Also, is the ult damage why you upgrade it when you can? I usually put one point then ignore unless I have to upgrade it
