Hello friends, here is our beginner guide for Athena. This video will contain information that should help a beginner do fairly well with Athena from the start. Some of Athena's more advanced tactics are left out to not overwhelm viewers.

just saying, in the beginning of the video you were talking about being a good support and since this is a beginners guide, most beginners don't understand what "hog" is so i suggest you just say hand of the gods when making these videos but other than that, great guide!

Could you do more of this guide i really really find it useful and im sure loads of people does as well, smite now has over 60 gods i know its a lot but i hope you could do more i love watching your vid and thanks for taking the time to do all this.

As a person who plays smite and athena since she came out i have some things to say and tips:
1.Sovereignity is a MUST.That aura is indeed precious and the fact that you can get free assists even if you didnt land any AA is precious as well
2.if youre confident that your team can secure a kill, to avoid securing do the combo the other way around:2 then 3.That way your teammates will not be "Shield wall trolled"
3.Bulwark of hope is another core IMO even if they are 5 Physicall gods trolololing, that shield can save your greek tits
And lastly, if you own the voicepack, always say VER after every kill or good play :33

The one thing that I really have an issue with is your semi-recommendation of Sovereignty. Sovereignty is (in my opinion) the ultimate core support item. The stats for you are okay, but the protections it gives your allies are crucial. Remember, it'll be pretty much you and solo lane (maybe) building tanky, but the 20 Protections aura from Sovereignty will help your mages, assassins, and ADC's stick around long enough to land that final attack that nets the kill.

Athena is about the STRATEGY OF WAR hence ehr beign the god of wisdom Ares is more of the Violence death kind also Sinc Athena is mainly the god of Wisdom Ares is mroe of the War god whle Athena is just a half War Goddess

Something you didn't mention: Athena has a lot of trouble with knock-ups, because it forces her to re-channel her dash. Also, because she stops at the first god hit you can body block her if she's trying to escape.

I just wanted to let you know, that Midas' Boots aren't in the game anymore. I don't know whether they were removed for sure, but I cannot find it. Anything else you would suggest for conquest as a core item?

Ok first off Your lfie does matter I disagree "Your lfie dosen't matter that much" Well your lfie does matter of your support you have to be around ato support rather than dying and on a 60 second cooldow ncause Fenfir was about to lsoe 1 HP!

I personally think building cdr on supports is a waste in most situations. I mean later on you trade your midas for focus sure, but there are just much better options than most of the items with cdr on it.

I really love this guide but I definitely disagree with the part that you said 'It is the best for support to die than any other person in the team'. In the recent tournaments, support has died a lot while the rest of his teammates lived which has resulted tons of free gold furies at early game and fire giant for the opposing team giving them huge gold and xp advantage. A support dying simply is a lot worse than letting your teammate die and giving them a free kill. A team with no support can get punished easily by any experienced players.
