Lyrics:

It's Christmas time, there's no need to be afraid
At Christmas time, we let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world at Christmas time
But say a prayer, Pray for the other ones
At Christmas time it's hard, but when you're having fun
There's a world outside your window
And it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing
Is the bitter sting of tears
And the Christmas bells that ring
There are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you
And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life
Where nothing ever grows
No rain nor rivers flow
Do they know it's Christmas time at all?
Here's to you
Raise a glass for everyone
Spare a thought this yuletide for the deprived
If the table was turned would you survive
Here's to them
Underneath that burning sun
You ain't gotta feel guilt just selfless
Give a little help to the helpless
Do they know it's Christmas time at all?
Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmas time again
Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmas time again
Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmas time again
Feed the world
Let them know it's Christmas time again
Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
(Feed the world)
Feed the world
Feed the world

40 years after this song was first sung by Band Aid, it has become a timeless song throughout the ages, every time at any time, every year before Christmas and New Year, it is still good to hear, not boring, opening memories of the past when I was in junior high school.

It's 2024.
40 years when this TIMELESS SONG, performed by the legends of the 1980's who came together for a common cause. I am so glad to have listened to this, the FIRST TIME it was released!

I was in HS when this came out. This song with so many that followed and along with several concerts to raise money for may different things plaguing our world was such apart of shaping the youth. It was a very special time in music and in this world. I am so lucky and grateful to have been born during this time to experience it first hand. For a moment in time we were working together all over the world to fix and solve problems governments didnt and It's a time that has never come again.

How fast time is moving now. I remember the feeling in my gut first time I heard this. Takes me right back to 1984 again.
Driving on the 405 on my way to Lax.
Santa Ana's winds were starting and the air was dry and warm. Think K-Earth 101 played it every hour!
I'm happy to have had that experience - it was magical!
2023 and it still gives me the chills.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
and PEACE in the NEW YEAR 🙏🤘

Boy George. Straight off concorde, swigged a bottle of whisky and delivered hell of a voice. Respect!

I remember watching the world premiere of this on MTV. First collaboration of this magnitude anywhere in the world. Without this, there was no Live Aid or We Are The World.
