I agree that Netflix is stupid but
1. Joseph did doubt Mary (Matthew 1:19).
2. Mary was afraid of the angel (Luke 1:29-30; she was troubled and he said do not be afraid).
I'd encourage you all to read your Bible.
3. She didn't so much doubt His plan afterwards but when Gabriel was talking to her she questioned it (Luke 1:34).
4. As for having a romantic relationship, of course they did. (He did not want to make her a public example)

Just going to drop some scripture here.

Mathew 1:25 and knew her not until she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus. (Some Christians believe Joseph and Mary had children after the birth of Christ due to this verse)

28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

Luke 1:29-30 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. (It doesn't say she was doubting God but that she was troubled)

Mathew 1:19 And Joseph her husband, being a just man and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. (Joseph was going to divorce her until a angel spoke to him in his dreams)

I haven't seen the movie. I hope everyone spends more time evangelizing the gospel, then arguing over this movie. 🙏

Any hellywood movie has been boycotted by me. Thier all a joke now. So woke. Twisting history or perception. There is enough confusion brought on by the devil and his minions', why watch more. Love Mar Mari, this guy is a true leader.

1. The movie does NOT portray Mary as having a "romantic" relationship with Joesph! It simply shows that they came to love one another.

2. Mary never doubted God's plan, she was simply afraid as any 16 year old girl would be!

3. Joesph DID consider divorcing Mary but didn't because of the dream (visitation) he had AND out of fear of Mary being stoned to death.

4. Our Lord Jesus Christ endured a hard life and suffered on the cross but it's hard to believe that Mary experienced pain while giving birth??? Anything is possible with God! She could have experienced birth pains while remaining a virgin afterwards.

5. Mary DID get scared by the angel! That's why "Do not be afraid" was said to her by the messenger.

Well in the beginning Joseph was indeed doubting Mary, she had a baby who was not from him, it was after the revelation of the angel to Joseph that he finally belived and took Mary as his wife.
And she might have been afraid seeing a bright holy creature appearing to her.
