My grandad got me this as a kid right before the 1990 world cup, I think he sent coupons from the paper off for it. I watched it so much I ruined the VHS! My all-time favourite VHS! The music, the pathos and the narration are not matched!

This is my childhood. Me and my best mate watched this over and over again when we were kids then we’d go outside and try and recreate the goals and moments on the field with the ball. Magic

I've seen loads of greatest goals documentaries over the years, but this one is by far the best one. Everything about it is brilliant; the music the narration, etc. They even used the fifa film footage instead of what you would have seen on the telly.

Def one for purists and romantics.

Oh my goodness can't believe this is on YouTube, the players the goals the commentary the music, my granda had this on VHS I have the very same video upstairs in my cupboard I watched it so much with him and learnt so much from him watching this, , bringing tears to my eyes soppy old bugger I'm getting 🤦🏻‍♂️

Like all the other comments... this video was brought to me as a gift from my father in 1989..I loved it so much..I watched it hundred times in the VHS.. I still remember the descent commentary and the brilliant breath taking music as if I last watched it yesterday... that's how I began loving football.... many happy memories brought to my mind...Maradona is the greatest of all times...Thanks for posting this wonderful video

I am so glad to have found this on YouTube. I have this on Video Cassette and have tried to find it on DVD to no avail. Check out Clodoaldo from Brazil dribble around half a dozen Italians at around 20:00 before Carlos Alberto’s goal.

First saw this in 1987 (the year it came out I believe) and you will not get a better illustration of the beautiful game than this. The sounds that accompany the goals (the Brazil music is particularly memorable), the array of stars on show, there is no better introduction to the sport than this masterpiece.
