That Brazil squad in 1982 was truly something very special. They had a swagger about them with the attitude of 'you score 3, we'll score 4' They didn't want to defend, they wanted to score goals. A truly incredible squad and i would say, to this this day, the greatest team never to have won the tournament.

I'm italian and I consider Brasil as the professors of football. I don't have memories of Pelè age, but I still remember the great selecao of 1982 in Spain. We won vs. a great team (Zico, Paulo Roberto Falcao, Socrates, Toninho Cerezo, Junior, etc). Actually if we had played ten times probably we would have lost eight. Italy will stay at home for the next world cup, therefore Brasil will have one more supporter here (me).

Really a Dreams team.
But Italy won the Cup.

I'm from New Zealand. We play Rugby. Our team is the mighty All Blacks. In 1982 our tiny nations team made the world cup finals. We played Russia, Scotland and Brazil. I appreciated football then with socrates, zico, falcao, serghinio. Amazing. I loved the way they played
