Electric Circuits - Tip 2: potentials ( IB and A-level Physics )

Tip 2: When relevant, think in potentials at a point instead of voltages (voltage = potential difference).

This video is the second of a series of 5 tips that will help you understand electric circuits. It is aimed at IB Physics, A-level physics and AP Physics students.

Check the other tips for a more complete picture :

Tip 1: Consider charges circulating in a circuit as carriers of energy. Getting grips with this concept will allow you to have a more intuitive approach in solving circuit problems.

Tip 3: Analyse the circuit first by drawing arrows for potential differences and currents.

Tip 4: Take advantage of Kirschhoff laws.

Tip 5: Calculate equivalent resistance of two resistors in parallel in seconds!
