Is there a symbol used for a variable DC supply? Would it be acceptable to draw multiple cells with an arrow through them. With the arrow representing the capacity to change the P.D. of the supply? I ask this as a teacher of some inquisitive students - I have found no teacher/ material issued by the exam board that can answer this question.
