Dry-aged Crown of Roast Duck @franciebrooklyn @chefcipollone 🔥😮‍💨 - Huge congrats to Chris and the team at Francie for retaining their Michelin Star this year! A very well deserved star for the amazing restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The food here was outstanding. This was the star of the show for the evening. A beautiful dry-aged crown of roast duck, brought to the table whole before being sliced and served on a bed of the most incredible, thick, glossy and delicious duck jus. Perfectly golden and crispy lacquered skin and blushing soft breast meat. Served with a trio of well thought-out sides: creamed parsnip purée with apple, a meaty sopressata jam and roasted Swiss chard. Despite this being the showstopper, the pastas are also worth talking about. Had a lovely lobster ravioli with saffron and tarragon just before - 3 flying saucers of ravioli, generously filled with lobster and covered in a memorable lobster sauce.
