It's brilliant that you chose to make the premise of this story based solely on AI's greatest weakness: hands

The visual effects and ai combination is seriously impressive, but a lot of credit has to be given to Niko and Dean for watching anime enough to know the dramatic movements and expressions that really sell this piece. This was amazing.

Edit: An alarming amount of people that responded to this seemed to have missed the point entirely. I know I phrased it in a way that could be misconstrued, but I didn't mean credit needed to be given to the Corridor crew for watching anime alone. I meant that credit needed to be given to them for having the ability to pick out the specific parts of anime that make it feel "anime". There are obvious differences between Japanese animation and animation in different countries, and only animators and visual artists appreciate and can replicate the nuance behind the technique. Some of you seem to think this is easy and obvious, which is silly. If you believe it's that easy, go ahead and make your own short, or try to list every technique used in animation to accomplish the anime look and timing. All you have to do is watch the corridor crew video behind the scenes for this shoot to understand the insane amount of thought that went behind every single shot in this skit. It's certainly not as easy as just sitting there and watching anime.

The twin lost because he started thinking, he couldn’t master his mind, and he didn’t stay the course. It’s poetic, he let the discovery of his father’s defeat distract him.

In the professional sport of Rock, Paper, Scissors, they actually have names for the combos. Years ago, a world champion won his title with 3 rocks in a row. They call that combo AVALANCHE.

You can't just leave us hanging. You have established a whole storyline now. You have to make a feature length or some episodes that was just epic.

This is actually brilliantly written, he actually loses once a thought or strategy enters his mind just as he predicted; and probably would’ve won if he had just kept throwing stone.

I once had to play rock paper scissors with my brother to decide who would drive our stranded friends an hour and a half home, when they went to leave our place around midnight and their car broke down.
We played best 2 out of 3 and must have tied 5 times. It was the most intense rock paper scissors game of my entire life.

*Edit:* I won!

If your going to use cross blades as their lingo for scissors.
Than yould have gone fully with the old timey lingo and have the game they played be called STONE, PARCHMENT, CROSSBLADES.

Can we stop for a minute to acknowledge how Dean's character only loses after he let's thought and strategy enter his mind? Nico's character got inside his head and instead of sticking to his guns, Dean took a strategy that Nico could see coming from a mile away.

Brilliant and consistent writing. We need 3 seasons and a movie.

It really is poetic how this legitimately proves anime can make anything intense and entertaining

It's hilarious how instead of turning Jankenpon into some super powered Shounen anime fighting technique they made it just as simple as IRL, yet the characters all overreact to it and make it a huge deal. Truly genius.

at the beginning the one character says his brother is going to predict his thoughts and move so he decides to not think about it. But when he sees his father got defeated using cross blades he starts thinking about what his brother has planned and uses paper to beat it. But just as he has predicted correctly his brother is able to predict that exactly and counters paper with crossblades. 10/10 writing

Actually, the "evil" twin brother would be a better ruler. He had a strategy and was quite cunning and smart.
While the other had no plan at all, and his main strategy was just to not think and never change his plan.
Actually he might not even be evil, because at 4:30 he says "he challenged me" implying that his father actually wanted to get rid of him.

As a ruler, he definitely might be a better fit. Smart and with Strategy to govern his land, cunning enough to play in the diplomatic world, and not distracted by art and music like his brother.

The fact that "Holy Combat" is Rock Paper Scissors not only makes me laugh, it also brings back my strategistic schoolboy days over who gets first pick.

It's interesting to see how the improved ML method they used in the sequel fixed the frame variance issue but completely broke the mouth syncing. Hopefully the third installment will have the best of both ML methods
