I live in the UK and All the Banks have closed their branches down the local high street in my borough 5 in total and that's not including the Building societies! ☹️ All we have to deposit money into our accounts is the Post office !

Banks have closed around 6, 100 branches across the UK since 2015.

Banks just have the money to do it because the enterprise is fantastically profitable. They also pay the most dollars 💸 for advertising space so the media is unlikely to run negative stories.

Back when the company that planned for the future more than a quarter. All the buildings now are owned by a different company and the businesses just rent so they dont care to spend more for the outside because they just want to get to the IPO.

But what they don't tell you is that some banks can be dismantled and driven off overnight. So, they run with your money anyway.

The expensive bank buildings were to give confidence in the level of assets of the bank, after a period of several bank failures in the C19th.

The assets are no longer immovable, and the assess that move them, have moved themselves and your money to The Cayman Islands

Makes sense to and explains why modern bank branches look little better than empty warehouses: it cost less to close them
