How to import and associate multiple objects in one file in HubSpot

In this HubSpot tutorial, we will walk you through how-to import and associate multiple objects in one file in HubSpot.

In HubSpot, you can import files to create, update, or associate HubSpot records in bulk. When importing multiple objects, you can create, update, or associate Standard CRM objects and notes.

Steps to follow:

1. To import records, navigate to one of the objects you wish to import.

2. In the upper right, click Import. Click Start an import.

3. Select File from the computer, then click Next.

4. Select One file, then click Next.

5. Select Multiple objects, then click Next.

6. Select the object in your import file. Here, I am using Contacts and Notes

7. Click choose a file and in the dialog box, then select your import file.

8. Tick the checkbox if you are updating the existing contacts that were initially exported. If not, leave it as such

9. Click the dropdown menu and select the language of your file's column headers if you're importing data in another language

10. In the bottom right, click Next.

11. In the Map tab, HubSpot will match the columns in your file to your selected object's properties based on the header and the property name or you can also do the mapping manually.

12. While mapping, you can create a new property on the spot and you can also choose not to import a specific column from the sheet into the HubSpot.

13. If any columns were matched to the wrong object's properties, click the corresponding dropdown menu, click Back, then select the correct object.

14. In the details tab, provide a name to your import

15. Click on Create a list of contacts from this import to automatically create a list when the contacts are imported.

16. If you've turned on GDPR functionality in your account, use the Set the legal basis for processing a contact's data dropdown menu to select a lawful basis of processing.

17. Then click on Finish import. This is how you can import multiple objects records into HubSpot

We have a meeting each week when the team reports progress on current deals in a specific stage. I'm wondering if there's a way to take notes on this meeting for each deal and then import them by bulk to add the notes to the appropriate deal.
