HubSpot Import Tool Update: Creating New Records and Updating Existing Ones Made Easy

In this video, Alex from the import/export team at HubSpot walks you through a new feature added to the bulk import flow. This feature allows you to choose whether you want to only create new records or only update existing records during the import process. Previously, every import created new records and updated existing ones, making it challenging to sift through data and avoid updating existing records accidentally. With this new update, you can select the type of import you want to perform, and HubSpot takes care of the rest. In the video, Alex demonstrates a "create only" import and shows how the system identifies existing records, preventing updates to their data. Additionally, Alex shows you how to perform a multi-object import, updating existing deals while creating new contacts. This feature is incredibly useful and streamlines the import process, saving you time and preventing data errors.
