Many things about the tune and why it’s scary: it’s a variation of just 4 notes, it’s not on common time and is 60bpm faster (common time is 120bpm) there’s the lavender town syndrome (allegedly 200+ Japanese kids sh and/or 💀 themselves after hearing it and getting severe headaches from the high pitched and distorted notes, there’s like a bajillion creepy pastas about lavender town and Pokémon as a whole
