Thank for the education. I am having TIPS done in 2 weeks. Despite several talks with the IR teams and the surgeon I still like to do my own homework. I feel safe now because in this video I have been explained everything said. This is good to watch and I’ll recommend it to others as I can.

IR saved my I had a massive GI bleed. I never saw anything like it while working in the ER in the 1980s. They banded my varisies but they broke loose. They did it again and I got tips. I received 12 bags of blood and 2 bags of platelets. I was in the ICU for 5 days and 2 days in a med/surg unit. Then IR had to step in and gave me chemo beads then later ablation while waiting for a new liver. I LOVE IR and GI. I’m doing very well!! This was all due to taking toxic medication for 20 years. I had always been athletic, no alcohol/illegal substances and a clean diet. I can’t thank all of you enough ❤. PS. Massachusetts General Hospital deserves credit for saving me 💙💙

I had a tips procedure about 20 years ago, and only now are my specialists looking into whether I require a revision. Thanks for the very clear and concise video. Kindest regards Steve. 🤓 🇦🇺

Just had tips, for chronic portal hypertension without cirrhosis. Procedure went well but have pain in incision areas and generally feeling unwell. Definitely not an easy recovery like everyone makes it sound but still minimally invasive
