I understand your view about bonds but think you're missing the Chinese are dumping their 1 triliion bonds and exiting the euro-dollar system.
They don't hoarde the dollars which would cause them to go up in value, they buy goods and try to squeeze food and energy, so dollar amount in the system remains the same, the bonds amount increase which is why the rates now go up and food and energy too.

Investors cannot panic dump their Russian debt unless someone, somewhere is willing to buy it. I would much rather our banks profit from the bond pricing mismatch than some other country's banks. People who caterwaul about this are not putting America first!
