The Largest Zone in WoW

In WoW we have seen many large zones, however the biggest zone in World of Warcraft of all time is the original Barrens. In this video I explore this vast zone.

Going with Tauren from TB to Org, crossing the Barrens was always a big thing. I would prep mentally for it and make sure I’d have done everything i needed to do b4 i went xD

The imperfection makes the Barrens great.
I will never forget the question in Barrens Chat, Server and Barrens were full, March 2004. someone asked: „where do I find the small eggs?“

Maybe it was the server I was playing on, but it seemed like more people had 60% speed mounts when the Dark Portal originally opened. I was already past Hellfire before I got an Epic mount. But it's been many years, so my memory could be fuzzy.

The barrens are supposed to be a vast open field because it was modeled to feel like you are traversing the plains of Africa.

I once tested out how long it would take with a 100% epic mount to get from north of Barrens to south of Barrens (Original). It took at least 15 minutes!
If someone in good shape ran for 15 minutes he or she could get up to 3-4 kilometers. That would be the same as a 40 minutes walk.

I have the feeling the continent were bigger in early wow (1.05)and they shrunk the maps or increased the running speed somewhat with an increased playersize - I spent an hour as ghost just going forward and come nowhere as far as vaulty - yes on roads

2 things wrong with this video. One you stopped messed with those mobs. Second that was running speed, not walking. But with your times I don't think you did wrong there was messing with the mobs. If you replace the word walking with runningin the video and The Times you have are correct. And you can't really dispute that, All the clips you showed without a mount are running animations. But good thing about those videos made me think what is the biggest zone, And will the next expansion have a bigger one.
