Uno flip is indeed surprisingly well-implemented. Sounds weird when you first hear it, but it's still intuitive to play

In normal Uno no mercy, you lose at 25 cards, but my cousins turned off that rule. What followed was a game which started out normal, but slowly descended into madness. Someone referred to the cards where you can put down all cards of a colour as a "topper", and the name stuck. These cards would become more valuable as the game went on, and everyone had a hand of at least 10 cards. After the first hour, Toppers became the most sought after cards in the deck. We started trading for them, auctioning off wild cards, +4's and even the plus 10's, all for a topper of the right colour. By the second hour, we had started a topper economy, and even made alliances with the promise of toppers. The game ended after 3 hours of alliances, economics and betrayal, when all of us made an agreement to end in a draw.
