Bruh, here in Mexico it's gotten to a point where profesional Soccer teams have highschools which only purpose is to educate the future players, it also happens in Europe. Most of these are boarding schools for some reason.

Pls do a part 2 on this of all the other sports like swim team, track/cross country, tennis, dance, hockey, gymnastics, wrestling etc. It would be really cool to see the more underrated and less popular sports have their own videos since we don't get much coverage.

As an ex HS Football player, it was C- at best if you're not a starting QB, RB, WR, or crazy good defensive player. I was on the O-line and my other big boys can agree we were all regularly picked on for being "huge" or "fat" or some derogatory simile.

It was about the same for most bench players too. Constantly getting put down by starters and their asshole friends that didn't even try out. A lot more politics and getting picked on than you'd expect, but I'm sure every school has it's own unique culture surrounding sports.

Baseball has the best team camaraderie in any school sport, football, and basketball players gonna butt heads with each other at some point in the season, but baseball teams have a really tight bond

as a basketball player i rlly felt that. everything was abt highlights and it hardly felt like a team sport anymore just everybody for themselves and the sport just wasn’t fun anymore. don’t get me wrong i was still able to get buckets w all the other starters but there was just no joy in it, only stress and selfishness that took a toll on my mental health so much i just ain’t wanna do it anymore and turned down d1 offers. the games changed a lot tbh

High school basketball is like out of movie where I live in Indiana almost quite literally. My school is known around the world for this old famous gym my school used to use. We go up against teams where it's a bunch of 5 star d1 athletes, and is just insane. It's hella competitive, and it's so much fun going to games.

Fun fact: a kid on my soccer team in high school (he was a few grades below me) switched to football to be their kicker and he regularly kicked (and made) 55+yard field goals. I think his record was 62 or 63 yards in a game

My high school was a STEM school so we didn't have football and instead we had an Ultimate frisbee team.... I was the team's manager and the locker room smelled like WW2 🤮
