Mickey had ridiculous range Lord I miss these 70’s and 80’s top vocalists! The best ever

But that note he hits when he sings the line, Jane you’re playing a game, you’re playing game, you’re playing a G-A-M-E 🎶🎤!! ❤ Awesome choice to react to❤

Mickey Thomas is one of the greatest singers ever. Still performing was in Wilkes Barre Pa last evening 8-16-24 sounded great. Was with Elvin Bishop band did Fooled around and Fell in love, Both are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Im listening to music for more than 60 yrs and to me he's in Steve Perrys league.

You may have actually heard this band before. They were originally called Jefferson airplane, then Jefferson starship and then starship. She's an amazing vocalist too. I want to say her name is Grace. Iconic band here. Go deeper for sure.

Mickey Thomas was the MOST *underrated* singing voice in classic rock. Bar none.

As I am 57yo, I really encountered JS right around "Jane" and then really got into them for songs like "Find Your Way Back", "Winds Of Change" and "Layin' It On The Line". This was their more straight-ahead rock/pop era. Then can the schmaltzy "Starship" era that we don't really talk about too much.
I like earlier JS, like "Miracles" and such, as well.

this always trips me out, how Jefferson Airplane morphed intoJefferson Starship and then just Starship, their musical style was so different between the Psychedelic sixties and The freewheeling eighties with this song and nothings gonna stop us now, being so different from their early hits hard to believe that song was sung by the same person who sang white rabbit and don’t you want somebody to love. Grace Slick.

The studio version is honestly 5x better. He is sharp here.

Was listening along and all the music sounded like it was in some sort of well, about 1/2 full of sloshing water. And I was thinking, "Man! Surely you could have found a better recording! This sounds so mushy, especially the vocals! Almost sounds like..."
And then I checked my headset dongle and, yep, "surround 7.1" was accidentally enabled, which makes non 7.1 compliant music sound like a mushy, echo-y mess.

Dino Jelusick, Mike Portnoy and Joel Hoekstra do an excellent cover of this.
