Spain's king Felipe VI is heckled as he visits the Valencia region hit by deadly floods, with some screaming "assassins" and others throwing mud.

What a disgrace of those few people insulting and throwing objects at a King. Spain is a constitutional monarchy, so a King is solely a symbolic head of state. The responsible person over de military force is the minister of defence, Margarita Robles Fernández. It’s a disgrace! As the King has only a symbolic role, so his presence is actually a show of importance to his cabinet to urgently take action.

In a democracy the actual king has little or no power to do anything and is not responsible for city layout or building regulations. An opportunity to gripe at the theoretical leader is just the modern way. Look at the way people in Spain are insulting tourists. I am not going there ever again.
