Two things I would add to this. Firstly, the plastic material is slightly grippy, so when removing a belt it works better if you lube the top of the tool with a smear of oil. Secondly, when fitting the new belt, I found the belt kept sliding off, until I slid the removal part into top of the fitting part to sandwich the belt and hold it firmly in place while turning the crank. That worked a treat!

I snapped the tang off the refitting tool on the first go at replacement, now I waiting for the metal type tool to arrive.

Does this tool work on all car makes which has got stretchy belt fitted? Or is it only designed for one specific car make?
