Have you ever tried these pencils? 🙂 Let me know below what you think of them!

*Extra Info*
The Derwent Lightfast pencils are one of the most expensive professional quality coloured pencils on the market, coming in on average at around $400 - $560 for 100 pencils ($4+ per pencil!) This is very expensive for many Artists but thankfully there is the option to buy much smaller sets at a much lower cost, or even buy pencils open stock (individually). I really wanted to see what I thought of these pencils and whether I think they are worth the huge price tag, so I tested out their build quality, blending abilities, vibrancy, colour range, texture, lightfastness, and much more!

Just bought the set of 100 seems to be alright, similar to the Caran de arche pencils.

Thank you for doing all the tests in this video Amy😊 I am excited to one day purchase a set of these. I’m also guilty of using a white gel pen on top of colored pencil and I hope one day there will be an oil based pen we can use instead that won’t scratch off😂 when you showed the color chart, I noticed some of the colors have the same names as the polychromos(first one I noticed was cinnamon, now I’m curious how much the colors match😂)!

I have a question:
I do botanical art l- which colored pencil set is better for such kind of art?
The derwent lightfast set of 100 or the caran'dache PABLO set of 120?
At first I thought the lightfasts, cause of their creamy Buttery consistance, but they are also be able to hold their point (I heard) - but then I saw their COLOUR RANGE! And even they are 100 colored pencils, there are so few LIGHT and BRIGHT colours, the most colours are muted and in the darker range... and thats also VERY BEAUTIFUL, but is it the RIGHT choise for a botanical and flower artist?
The Pablos -I dont know much about them, only that they are firmer then the lightfasts, near to the polychromos. And there colour range is MUCH brighter.
What DO YOU personally think?
There is a big sale at the moment, so the time to decide is running of 🙈
You would be a Real help!!

Hard leads are not necessarily oil based pencils. The Colleen pencils for exemple are oil based pencils with very soft leads like prisma’s. Thanks for your video very helpful !

Derwent pencils, never. They are the worst of the expensive pencils, for many many artists. They are over priced as well. Polychromos are still unbeatable, since I was a kid.
