There were timing issues with the clocks on Saturday and things can go wrong.
I went to a NFL game when the US Navy jets went past while the US troops were still raising the flag - it happens. If they think we did it on purpose they are being a bit immature.

Straight up explanation...there is zero percent chance the jet is going to pause in the air for any reason

As a kiwi you don't have tp respect the haka and you can react how you want - any kiwi who tells you otherwise is a troll. we are in SA and SA can react however they want. We love our haka with religious like fervor but no one else has to. By the way, no AB player has complained - not sure why SA apologized.

Nobody apologizes for the haka. Just do it and do what you do. It's got nothing to do with the haka. Play rugby. Haka is not the holy gral.

I think every rugby ground needs a contemplative Zen garden where the Haka can be performed safely without offense taken. Then the ABs can refresh with some moist towelettes, a light lunch to follow, deep breathing, positive aspirations and then the paying customers can maybe get to watch the sport they came to see.
Or
They can harden the fxuk up.

We don't HAVE to respect the Haka.

This is OUR home. We can do what we want. 🇿🇦

Storm in a tea pot about the plane. The noise in the crowd…… well it is Ellis Park so what do you expect 😜

I don't know why SA Rugby did that. Rassie was insulted on radio by two NZ 'heroes' and nobody apologized.

If it isn't the food being poisoned, it's the Haka being disrespected. They are outraged about the Bongi try but say nothing about Cane that should have seen a 2nd red card is as many matches against the Bokke. You wonder, is Rassie getting to the maybe once mighty ABs😊

I'm Maori. Don't care. The Haka is between the teams, nothing to do with anybody else.
They should shut the intercom systems down though - the crowd are just observers.

I am a SA Bok supporter and I do not like the cannibal war cry from the NZ period and we always shout it down at the game

The flight log and times where spot on, it was approved beforehand. It is a fact that when they paid their respect to their king, that took longer than expected.

Apologize for what? It is their tradition not ours. Time for the kaka to be performed before national anthems. The haka is not our religion

Brenden if Nz hand won on Saturday nothing would have been said! 😬

Stole their thunder. Childish reaction from NZ fans.

The haka needs to be retired to their home games on home soil. I have seen enough of it. Performative violence that has been given mythical status to build “aura”. Enough.

Why are we so sensitive, once we start losing are we going to be smug as well.?

The Haka is cool, but it was supposed to be a challenge and sign of respect to the oppisition. In friendly Maori tribes a haka could be a form of welcome and hospitality (expression of brotherhood etc), but in other cases it is war declaration. The Saffas in the crowd gave their own 'welcome' with the chant... Their own challenge. It's not disrespecting the ABs. Tbe timing was unfortunate.
