I suffer from severe IBS and chronic constipation, bloating, nausea, etc. I was on a high fibre diet (taking in at least double the recommended daily intake) and my symptoms were just getting worse. My doctor kept on telling me to eat more fibre. At the beginning of this week I left so sick I decided to go on a bone broth cleanse. By the afternoon of the first day a lot of my symptoms had already reduced. It suddenly dawned on me that maybe fibre was to blame for my symptoms. A quick internet search and I discovered the 2012 study in which people who were on a zero fibre diet experienced no symptoms. Today is day 5 of my zero fibre diet. I am no longer constipated, bloated, nauseas, and my appetite has returned. I can't understand why almost every health and medical professional advocates fibre in the diet when it is, in fact, an indigestible food!

I agree I’ve had this problem along time and found out purely by chance that no fibre whatsoever helped solve the issue.

I’ve had many doctors who never recommend this. I continue to think doctors are useless. I’m going to try this. I hope this is the answer for me.

Low fiber/No fiber + Saturated Fat( High fat meat and eggs ) + meat in general is the solution.

Can’t really stick to it but eggs + chicken + milk + white rice + small quantities of fruits is perfect for movements.
Took me decades to figure this out after consistently trying high fiber diets.

Avoiding beans, vegetables and excess lactose

I’ve had 3 GI doctors here in south Florida that preaches high fiber, and I have diverticulitis. The past several days I have been taking fiber and I am so bloated It’s unbelievable.

I suffer chronic constipation and IBS the mor fibre I eat the worse I am my doctor told me to eat more Fibre and drink more water and I'm ten times worse than not eating enough fibre

I found out by accident that fiber was my problem. I tried the fruit diet (only eating fruit) but got constipated so I did a juice cleanse where I only drank fruit juice (no fiber) and the constipation and my distended belly bloating resolved almost immediately.

I also at one time did the carnivore diet which happens to be zero fiber and noticed my constipation and severe bloating disappeared.

These 2 circumstances taught me my body does not do well with fiber.

Very interesting, like to know if this would help me. It would be great not to have to take stool softeners.

I struggle with bowls obstruction Due to scar tissue from radiation I’ve had 16 bowl obstructions and have been hospitalized every time. 😢

This worked for my daughter but when I have low fiber I don’t have a bowel movement for a week. I don’t understand

Every vegetarian should take at least every second day early in the morning on an empty stomach 1 tablespoon (15 ml) castor oil in order to prevent an intestinal blockage, for in the case that you will eat a lot of fruits or vegetables your large intestine will be really filled and you will remark this one occasionally unpleasant, this especially during the night. In this case it will be very helpfull to take your dosage castor oil in good time.

I don`t know, it seems there are so many different opinions & advice from everybody that it becomes too confusing. My doctor said just carry on eating what your eating but avoid fruit & coffee ! , which is contrary to what ive read elsewhere, i guess you keep trying different things till something works for you.

I was reborn the day I quit fibre after struggling with cramps and diarrea. It was by pure chance my pre-colonscopy protocol diet. You are 100 per cent correct. I'm left wondering when we recover how much fibre should be in our diet?

Japanese diet is practically no fiber as I know. I constipate since I started Keto diet I am on and from today I will be increasing my salt intake up to two tea spoons daily no fiver and no yogurt that I usually eat every day. See what happens next 😮😅❤

I was shocked today when someone told me they couldn't eat anything with fiber in it... but could have fish, or grilled chicken. As long as it wasn't breaded. What happened to meat getting trapped in colon hocus pocus?
