We all know when a cop reads you your Miranda rights, it’s a good idea to lawyer up and tell them you don’t want to talk. But what about BEFORE your rights are read? Learn when you can invoke your right to remain silent in interactions with the cops from former federal prosecutor and defense attorney, Katie Cherkasky

An attorney in NJ won $35k for being unlawfully arrested for not answering questions at a traffic stop. As they arrested her they informed her she had the right to remain silent. Oh the irony.

Let’s also remember that law enforcement is trained so poorly on citizens rights that they truly have zero clue of basic law. They only know force, escalation, and violence until we comply with whatever order they give. They’re trained to think that every thing they say is a ‘lawful order’. But it’s not.

You dont even have to let them know what your voice sounds like. They can detain you, they can even get info somewhere else and arrest you, but you dont ever have to talk to them.

I always yell to the cops: I DONT ANSWER QUESTIONS ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS GO THRU MY They usually then just leave. Sometimes you get a hang around straggler for a bit but they leave too 🤣

I realize you are busy which is good but keep giving out your good advice.
I notice that people do not know the difference between public and private especially as it pertains to property.

P.S. Be patient your channel will grow.

My cousin was at the local grocery store when it was robbed. The police were looking for witnesses, and stopping people and asking if they saw anything. As my cousin made his way to the exit, he was stopped and asked if he seen anything. My cousin paused for a moment, and told the officer know he knows why police need help in identifying suspects! The officer asked why is that. My cousin replied Well, the police are idiots at investigations, if they cannot tell a person with a guide dog in a vest that reads in bold yellow letters: "I am a guide animal for a blind person!" He pushed past the officer laughing along with a couple other officers and patrons and store employees!

My interaction with cops is real simple...

If I'm operating a vehicle on a public road, I hand over my DL, insurance, registration. Without speaking a word.

As soon as he asks me a question, I speak the only words I'll speak during the contact.

"I invoke my 5th amendment, 4th amendment, I want an attorney that represents me present before any questioning. I do not now, nor at any point in the future, consent to any searches of any capacity of my person or property. Am I detained or am I free to go."

Then I refuse to speak another word.
