Nice introduction explanation of rman, I have one query. Can we trigger rman table level back from api?
Is there any api document available from Oracle to trigger backup? I don't need automatic backup

Hi, have you written a block discussing the retention period yet? I'm nervous to turn on ARCHIVELOG on our production database as the archivelog files are growing quite a bit in test. I'd like to be able to configure it to retain back to about 2-3 weeks.

Say I have a database with a size of 1TB, what could be a recommended db_recovery_file_dest_size, considering I will confiugre it in archivelog mode and enable flashback, I would also like to be able to restore it to 3 days back? Thank you.

Bro after rman restore i open the database as noresetlog and sequence# is generating from # 1 but previous sequences are there. How to remove those sequences which were before incarnation?? Plz suggest.
