I would definitely prefer something that you had created as a prize. You can obtain art supplies anywhere, but a person's creations are personal.

Art contest? Back when I was a kid, a classmate of mine and I won a class contest. A reward to visit with a local artist in our town was what I remember the most. It was a neat experience even though I don't remember her genre or even remember what artwork I had created.

Tomorrow I will participate in an art battle in a nearby town---that will be a first for me. I anticipate fun and a new experience. :)

If you had a contest, I would personally love one of your artworks. I like your style so much. I always watch art videos and never put pen to paper for some reason. I have so many supplies and never use them. Thanks to you I have finally filled a page with random doodles that somehow all fit together (with a few eyeballs spread throughout lol). Interesting question about choice of prizes. I recently decided to start acquiring the art of others even as I, too, am an Artist. So, one if your art pieces would be an amazing prize.

Also, it seems like a neat idea to win a fountain pen similar to the kind you use especially if it is a shout out to the company which makes it. I say that mostly because I've not tried to use one!

A prize sounds lovely! I'm easy, it's fun for me just to participate, truly. Due to quarantine, I am not working. So an art supply would be great! (I'm stretching things out really well, I must say!) I'm so very sorry for your loss. Pls accept my condolences. Speaking to the video record: I lost my husband in 2012 (28 yrs, no kiddos, just doggos) and I have nearly 50 VHS home movie tapes. I've no way currently to watch them but I know I can get them put on DVD. They are the one thing I would grab first in a fire. Art contests don't make much sense to me, either! Too subjective! Even if you're all painting the same subject. I don't get it. DON'T put a stop to it! I like the stream of consciousness element to this vid 😁 Long vids are great. I'm either cutting out collage fodder, or drawing along with you, so it's cool. I confess, I did start answering halfway thru 😁 (my memory sucks) LOVE this drawing! I waited until the end to comment so I have to try to remember all the questions lol. On the subject of contests, I enter them all the time not with the expectation of winning, although I still try my best, but so I can learn. It's more motivation to me if there's a deadline and other people involved. Also they tend to tell you what they're looking for so I know what to work on, such as composition or just an overall idea. For prizes I don't expect to win so it doesn't usually matter to me, whether it's a physical prize or just a shout out it's just fun to be recognized. Although I absolutely love the Arches paper! It's so much better for watercolor than the cheaper stuff 😊
