Encounter with a real life Viking in Gudvangen

Fjord Norway has a rich historical heritage and many visible traces of the Vikings, who ruled the country for an era between AD 800 to 1066. Georg Olafr Reydarsson Hansen is the nearest you’ll get to a real life Viking. Georg and other Viking enthusiasts meet every year at the Viking Market in Gudvangen. A Viking village is under construction here, situated in spectacular scenery at the end of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Nærøyfjord.
