1. Arrive 2 hours before the airline starts boarding the airplane. Nowadays they start 30-50 minutes before departure.
2. Have liquids easily accessible so you are not stressed in airport security.
3. Travel tip: if the item cannot hold its shape without a container, it is a liquid.

tip .5: look on the ticket for the boarding time and the departure time. it's the boarding time you need to get there 2 hours before.

Make sure you sign up for text updates about your flight. I once had a flight that changed the terminal on us after we were already at the gate. Then, they switched us back to our original terminal, but at a different gate. If not for the text update regarding the changes, we might have missed our flight.

It really amazes me how many people I know (including hubby) that argue about how early to arrive at the airport. Arriving at the last minute is crazy, you never know what the TSA line is doing and at the check in

Also watch to make sure your boarding gate doesn't change without warning. DFW is notorious for that.

My tip is to keep everything valuable in your purse and keep it next to you overnight and keep shoes or slippers nearby. I learned this when I was evacuated from my hotel. Fortunately it was a false alarm and we were able to return to our room but it made me think. I want to have money, ID and anything valuable with me in case we are not able to return to our room. Fortunately I was wearing something that was not embarrassing in public.

Yea, definitely !! Anything you need right away at airports or everything you need to take out often should go in your bag's side pockets for the easiest access !! Liquids, passport, medicine, nasal spray, eye drops, snacks,so on !! 👍First-timers get real nervous, so this kind of video helps 'em prepared & get less anxiety at the airports !! Lol

I just flew economy from Altanta to Salt Lake on a full cost carrier. My seats were tightest I’ve ever flown. I totally regret having an under the seat in front of me backpack. I am short- and there was no place for my feet- or knees. My flight from Munich was survivable only because my seatmate missed the flight.
