We lack a belief in exactly the same way that Calvin lacks belief in every other different god other theists believe in. We just reject the double standards and special pleading.

It's really quite simple. As an atheist, I am not convinced of any belief/concept in a god that has been presented to me so far.

What is so difficult to understand?

I lack belief in anything that is presented without evidence. It is impossible to to explain all of that. It's like handing somebody a sealed bag and asking them to describe everything that they don't think will be in it.
