Actually, Bane of Arthropods is increased damage to spiders/cave spiders. On a pickaxe, when mining, you would probably run into a lot of spiders so it would be quite useful.

If you can get enchants on stuff that can't hold the enchant you can make a stick that lights things on fire or it's them and sends them flying that's kinda useful
