Not the greatest, not the best, but the most perfect.
I've been saying Tim Duncan had a career that was as close to flawless as you could really get, and here's why I think that.

You know you're perfect with your career when the only biggest drama you have is getting ejected for laughing on the bench.

The only guy that can be considered the greatest player to ever play his position and still be underrated

It’s funny how his career is extremely perfect, yet he is extremely underrated

He actually finished his 4 year undergraduate degree in psychology before going to the NBA and then went to play for 19 years in San Antonio. Truly remarkable!

“Anything is possible!!!” - Kevin Garnett
“Nothing is impossible.” - Tim Duncan

Don't let Duncan's career distract you from the fact that Joey Crawford ejected Duncan for laughing on the bench

Tim Duncan is the greatest power forward of all time. The legacy he left is crazy. People need to stop sleeping on him.

His only Finals loss came when Ray Allen hit the clutchest shot in NBA history with Tim Duncan not even being on the floor due to coaching. Crazy.

If Tim Duncan had an ego, people would be calling him the GOAT lol. Still the best power forward ever at least.

Tim Duncan is THE reason I became a Spurs fan when I was five years old. Always will be, even if I don't follow the NBA like that anymore.

Biggest crime is him never winning DPOY, he's one of the best defensive big men of all time hands down

Top Ten player in NBA history, sadly over the years he'll become forgotten due to not being as flashy as other legends, but he deserves all the praise as well for his consistency

To add, Timmy is the only player to make it to both All-NBA and All-Defensive teams for his first 13 years in the league.

That's consistent greatness, man!

That's the guy who made me watch NBA 20 yrs ago and make me fall in love with the game. No drama, consistent, silent, team guy with a great organization. One of the better players of all time. Thank you Timmy

“It’s unbelievable to regain that focus after exactly that, that devastating loss we had last year, ” Duncan said. “But we’re back here and we’re excited about it and we’ve got four more to win. We’ll do it this time.”

The winner of the 2014 finals was already determined once he said that.

Duncan is perfect in the sense that he's been the only guy to have a dynasty in a small NBA market.

It's pretty much unheard of for a city like San Antonio to stay that competitive for nearly 20 years and Duncan was the centerpiece of it all.

We see small market teams make dents in the status quo. Like the Kings with Webber, the Suns with Nash, OKC with Durant, Malone and Stock in Utah, Shaq in Orlando. But usually they don't win championships.

I am a huge TD fan... I'm also in high school. Where kids just straight up laugh and say he's trash, lame, etc.

One of the most underrated players ever because he was "boring"

One of the biggest takeaways I've learned from this is there's an inverse relationship between being a good teammate and media attention.
