Why Tim Duncan is the GOAT...

Tim Duncan. The Big Fundamental. Some may say he's a Top 10 All-Time player but in todays video, I argue if Tim Duncan should be considered the Greatest Basketball Player of All-Time (GOAT. He has some crazy accolades like 5 Championships with the Spurs. He played with them for his whole career under 1 coach, that being Greg Popovich. His defence was off the charts, his offence was consistent, he was an amazing leader and he had a TON of clutch performances. One could argue that he was better than Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Let me know where you rank Tim Duncan on the Greatest of All-Time scale. Make sure you like the video if you enjoyed or learned something and subscribe so that you stay up to date with the best basketball content! Cheers.

He beat 2 top 10 players on their prime on the same team. The only guy to do so in the history of all nba

Well done sir! Thank you so much for making this video and honoring Tim Duncan. I love to argue that he is the GOAT with my friends. He is overlooked almost always for MJ and Lebron and others when as you laid out, he should be right there in the argument for the GOAT. It’s all subjective in the end but his case is definitely there.

Parker and Ginobli were all stars and made the all nba team. Ginobli got sixth man of the year. They were part of the big 3. He is my favorite player and the reason im a spurs fan but to say he didnt have help is ridiculous.

Wonderful video!! Really helps me appreciate Tim Duncan's contributions and how he put the team on his back when the team needed him to. I feel like Isiah Thomas, while not having the longevity of a Tim Duncan had a similar impact on his team. He had some stellar seasons like his 23pt 13ast season, but mainly he didn't have eye popping stats. Instead he did what his team needed and made everyone around him better. But just like Duncan, when the team needed him to carry in the playoffs he would put the team on his back.

Timmy could have put up 30 or 40 a night, but Spurs play team ball, not iso. Timmy is the GOAT!

Well done, loved it. But you said he had no one to go to, I beg to differ on that one... Manu and Tony Parker definitely had some "everybody get out the way moments.". He's still my GOAT tho. Love the The Big Fundamental 🖤🤍

Everyone forgets, even MJ himself said to watch out for Timmy. Kobe and Timmy are the only 2 who he gave this certain type of praise/respect. He absolutely should be in the arguement on the FACT that he was the GREATEST PF to EVER play by a MILE.

The only player with 100+ Win Shares on BOTH offense and defense. One of only two players with 100+ Win Shares on defense (Bill Russell is the other).

The only MVP-caliber player to win a championship in three different decades. (The only other player to do that was John Salley)

Several of Duncan's teammates in 2003 were basketball legends, but one was on the verge of retirement (David Robinson) and the others were years away from their All-Star form (Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili). The rest of the roster was also super old or super young: Steve Smith, Danny Ferry, Steve Kerr, and Kevin Willis were the old heads. Stephen Jackson and Speedy Claxton were the young guys. Only Duncan, Bruce Bowen, and Malik Rose were in the middle of their primes then. It's hard to imagine another superstar winning a title with that roster.

Most people usually shun me for having this opinion but I believe Duncan is the GOAT player

I think the only thing that removes him from most people’s Top 5 lists is that elusive 6th ring and that DPOY he never got

Horry said Olajuwon was 20 times better than Duncan!! He has 7 rings and won rings playing with both centers. Olajuwon was way better in everything. Go look at the record books or ask David Robinson and Dennis Rodman.

Duncan 2-1 against Lebron in the finals head to head. Duncan has never been swept in the finals. Duncan won in 3 different decades. Has way more D selections than Lebron. Actaully edges Lebron at the FT as a big and is a better shot blocker and rebounder. Duncan never missed the playoffs. Duncan didn’t spend many years in a horrible weak eastern conference like Lebron……….Duncan is greater and better than Lebron
