There weren't many artists in the late 60s writing, singing, and producing their own songs. John was one of the few who not only did it all but had great success both in sales and on the radio. As a rock radio DJ beginning in the late 70s I played a LOT of CCR (Susie Q worked well on the overnights) and their music was a staple of the station during that transition from "underground FM" to mainstream rock radio. Raw yet commercial. That key change at the end always creeps up and surprises me in its elegance. Great work!

My favorite band after the Beatles! Most excellent, Kenn!!! Just think: Creedence was absolute greatness though for just a few years; can you imagine what their catalog would have been like had the band not broken up? Thank goodness John Fogerty got over his funk of many years and started recoding and touring again. I missed CCR when they came to Houston in the summer of '70 because the tickets sold out so fast (there was no StubHub or eBay back then, sadly); fortunately I've been able to see JCF in concert three times, beginning in the late 1990s.
