I love how the bigger dog looked up for a sec like "hey man, this little guy is out of pocket. I don't want to hurt him but he's a dick"

“Don’t act that way, it’s not good for your health…”😂

The little dog goes from thinking it’s a badass to making the sound it makes when you clean a window with a wet paper towel.

Good for him for calling out the bad HUMANS in this scenario.

What you said about standing there filming and just letting it happen is spot on.

Love when we can see nature at work! Bad owner, but I appreciate a calm large dog keeping order.

The bigger dog even looked up at the human for assistance, realized "You're not gonna do anything?... Alright..."

Honestly, impressive how the larger dog corrected so appropriately for the size difference. It's always risky to let a big dog correct a tiny one because even an appropriate correction like this could accidentally do a lot of harm to the smaller dog - even though the smaller dog might deserve it, big one is more likely to get put down :(

This actually reminded me of my babysitters dog Nala. She was an older rottie, and I honestly loved her, maaaaybe a lil too much (or that i was a stupid kid). I was 5 at the time, outside with her in the backyard letting her sniff the flowers i picked. But then i had a stupid crazy idea. To ride Nala like a "horsey". So i get on her back and i remember her growl at me, and then grab my arm SUPER quick turning her neck around, pulled me off, and with her mouth still around my arm, she growled once more but softly let me go and walked away. Now my face was of shock, but as a 5 yo kid, i even knew that i f**ked up. I got up, my mom started freaking out a lil bit but i told her i was okay. Nala didnt BITE me, she just told me to get off. I still cried a lil bit but i think it was more from embarassment. She had arthritis as well too so me being stupid like that probably hurt her. Never forgot that day. I feel i learned a valuable lesson. Im sorry, Nala, and thank you.

I saw this a while ago. Glad you addressed it. If you let these dogs deal with it it ends well. What people fail to see is the body language of the larger dog, seemingly knowing that it doesn't need to do much may not go well with two large dogs of that same breed or more dominant breeds in general ( I know the "D" word isn't accepted in certain circles but it does exist regardless of what certain people want to think. Know your dog, watch your dog, let it be a dog and intervene when necessary.

That big dog did great, he looked up at the owner to see if they are going to step in or not, the owner did not so the dog took over and corrected that small dog very well.

I feel like a lot of parents could use the same advice with their kids.

I always separate my dogs when feeding and especially for bones. My bigger dog has permanent scarring on his muzzle from the time I failed to enforce this boundary. He was mauled by a much smaller dog. That Chihuahua was very lucky.

I love this guy's delivery. fair, effective and very pragmantic.

Seen this awhile back, glad to see it addressed. People kept siding with the little dog for "defending it's food" 😒

Why don’t small dogs know they are … small! 😅 lesson learned there for the chihuahua.

I think the big dog knew it could fuk it up in one chew so it just warned it before it wanted to do anything, but I still agree with you to not sit back when dogs are abt to (maybe) go head to head

I taught my dogs to eat side by side and sometimes from the same bowl.
No food aggression.
I always stay with them, when I feed them...just to make sure

That Dog (the larger dog) did the Owners job; taught the smaller Dog some respect. However, not all larger dogs will be as patient with other dogs in the same way — one bite, and that smaller dog is being slammed on the ground, side-to-side, with the larger dog’s teeth sunken into the smaller dog’s stomach…

When I first got my dog, she was growling at me when i went to get her water bowl. I immediately took the water and food bowl away from her and told her no, you don't growl at me, and she never growled at me or anyone when it came to a "resource".
