Maintaining way of life, Tuareg resist cultural changes

For many indigenous and nomadic tribes around the world, it's often difficult to keep their way of life.

But there's a group of people, spread across several countries in North-western Africa, who are managing to do just that.

Al Jazeera's Natasha Ghoneim has the story.

Freedom of choice is what makes us who we are, never now to dictatorships weather it's political or religious. These people have lived in balance they way it should be.

In the country of Mali, they were very oppressed, so they rebelled by establishing a militant organization in Mali. Many Russian soldiers died there because they tried to help the Malian government eradicate these Taureg rebels.

Where do the Tuareg come from?? I have read certain things that say Saudi Arabia, but they don’t speak Arabic. They also seem different so call Berbers further north in Africa
