Just tried it and it works, it works very fast. After washing it off with some water I used some window cleaner on it 😊. Just letting you all know my light was extremely yellow

I used a lemon with baking soda. The citric acid works great on the lenses. If they are really bad, do it 2-3 times.

If the clear coat is not too bad. It may work. But temporarily. You have to sand down the old clear with 600 grit, then 1000 grit, then 1500. Spray some 2k clear and then buff it and finally polish it.

It’s a quick remedy. Obviously not as good as sanding and polishing but just for something quick and easy it works

If you don't seal it, it will be fuzzy again before you know it.

You can also use mosquito repellent for that! That’s what I use 😅, works pretty good too! Just have to make sure your hurry and wipe it off cause it does dry quickly

I saw a hack where they used off insect repellent on the headlight. It also worked not using off spray on my skin again ever.

What about adding UV protectant to ensure it stays looking good?

Put some car polish on them afterwards. It will help with the shine and protect them as well

or use sandpaper then tape off the edges and follow it with polishing compound and rinse. works long-term

It would work without the orange too. You're using an abrasive medium to remove oxidization build up. Fine grit sandpaper also works and is what is in all the headlight restoration kits along with a lubricating spray which could be replaced with water.

Stop the hacks and the gimmicks and just use what is proven to work without costing a shitload of money

Regular white toothpaste does a good job too. Just rub it on, let it dry and buffet off with a wreck. Don’t use the gel kind of toothpaste.

He's trying to sell the car, so he's probably not concerned about how long it will last. He just wanted a quick fix to help sell it.

Get a polishing pad with a backing plate as well as a cordless drill and some clear plastic polish. Works even better if you wet sand it with 800, 1000, then 2000 grit sandpaper as well as wiping off the headlights after each stage of sanding. After all of that. Spray it twice with headlight coating from meguiars and it will last up to a year without fogging or oxidizing!

Can a paste of Bar Keepers Friends and a bit of water be used instead? Is it too corrosive for the car paint around the headlight area?
