Interesting that they had to go through the same ceremony as naturalized adults. Oath and all. I know they were excited to do it, but I have to wonder, is it because they're over 12? In America, kids 12 and up can have some say in whether or not they're adopted. Which means they'd also have a say in whether or not they accept their parents' citizenship.

Those boys were nothing, had nothing, with no real future. And all that changed, literally, in the blink of an eye. Sure, it's easy for a wealthy family to exact such change. But most Americans living modestly can accomplish this same goal. Change for the better.
